Estimating Global Solar Radiation from Empirical Models: An Application

Solar radiation data are required for many applications and areas of research. In order to achieve this, several empirical models have been suggested predict the global solar in Turkey other countries. The different meteorological as radiation, sunshine duration, temperature, atmospheric pressure, wind speed relative humidity were measured by Eskisehir Osmangazi University during period between 01 January 2011 31 December 2014. These used develop estimate monthly average daily on horizontal surface over City Turkey. developed analyzed with widely nine statistical methods, namely; percentage error (E), mean (MPE), absolute (MAPE), sum squares errors (SSRE), standard (RSE), bias (MBE), root square (RMSE), t-statistic method (t-stat) coefficient determination (R2). It is expected that new model will be beneficial everyone who engineers, architects, agriculturists, hydrologists involved or interested design study energy such furnaces, wood drying, stoves, concentrating collectors, interior illumination thermal load analyzing buildings, photovoltaics, agricultural forecasting.
